Team Leader – Group Lending / Chama Loans

Reports To: Manager / Supervisor
Objective
Lead the group lending/chama loans team to drive portfolio growth, ensure quality, and maintain strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage team performance and productivity
- Oversee loan disbursement and repayment
- Build relationships with chama leaders and members
- Monitor portfolio quality and mitigate risks
- Identify opportunities for growth and expansion
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Requirements
- Experience in group lending / microfinance
- Leadership and team management skills
- Understanding of financial products and services
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong skills in Excel & Word for reporting to head office
